I was barely out of Jasper when it started raining. The journey home for Christmas with my family took about 8 hours instead of the 5 and change that it should take. As I was driving through Rusk, it started raining again. What I saw through the windshield was much clearer than what you see here. I didn't notice that the rain has muddied the scene until I had already taken the camera out of its bag and snapped a few shots. I could have tried to turn the windshield wipers on to erase the raindrops, but I was afraid that the wipers would show up in the photo. Upon further reflection, I decided that the photos were really cool just as they were.
This one was taken on the main street in Rusk. What is lovely about Rusk is that there are many hills and valleys and trees. For whatever reason, the trees in Rusk really turn Autumn colors. So beautiful! I can't help but stop to take pictures when it looks this way.
