Well, I'm not a professional, by any means. I'm just someone who likes taking pictures, yeah? Before about 18DEC10, I was using my cell-phone to take pictures (3.1 mp). It did a pretty good job; however, for Christmas, I received a Kodak Easy Share which has 12 mp and take much nicer pictures. I'm saving this year, so that next Christmas I can buy myself a much better camera! :) I hope you enjoy my photos.

Originally this was a photo I took as part of one of my audit.   But when I was perusing all the photos today, I just liked the way it looks.

The lavender are blooming!  Behind it are oregano and yellow squash.  Oh, and a license plate and an old boot, of course.

One of the prompts in my photo-a-day challenge is "You."  I took about ten just to get the right one (which wasn't this one, by the way.)  This one I cropped in order to strive to obey the 'rule of thirds.'

This was the only photo I took on Wednesday. I was feeling super puny, but I did go out in the early a.m. to put some mail in the box.   The reason I took this photo was cos I am part of a photo-a-day challenge and one of the prompts for Wednesday was "A Surprise."    This doesn't look like much of a surprise, yeah?   Don't take it at face value!  The previous evening, I had pinched off those blooms cos they looked like they were dying and that is what you're to do when the blooms are dying, right?  So that they will continue to bloom, yeah?    So, imagine my SURPRISE the next morning when those same blooms which I pinched from their life source were alive and well and in full bloom ON THE GRASS AND CEMENT!  Weird!   I love hibiscus!  They are so cheerful!!

The sky looked so interesting on Tuesday evening!

This was a gift from some friends of mine whom I met last weekend in Galveston--Mike and Janet.   It is a plant whose name I have forgotten; however, I know WHY it was named such!  It is because it looks like an alligator!  See the top leaves pointing straight up?  They kinda look like an alligator chomping at something, yeah?  and the leaves' shapes look like an alligator mouth!
